ABOUT YADIE DAYANA AND THE BOOK
With sincerity and
respect, we dedicate this book to all Indonesian cigar lovers throughout the
world. This book represents the result of our hard efforts and deep love for
highlighting the beauty, richness and wisdom of Indonesian cigars. In it, we
will explore Indonesian cigar culture, which is rich in history, manufacturing
techniques and artistry involving the process from planting to making cigars
that we can enjoy. The book also explores how cigars became more than just
rolls of tobacco; but also, a symbol of identity, pride and heritage that needs
to be preserved.
Through this book, we
hope to bring a deeper understanding of Indonesian cigars to all readers, both
those who have long been loyal fans and those who are just exploring the world
of cigars. Apart from that, this book also aims to strengthen intercultural
relations, because cigars have become a universal language that connects cigar
lovers from various cultural backgrounds, religions and countries. Hopefully
this book can be a bridge that brings us all into a circle of eternal
friendship, enabling the exchange of useful experiences and knowledge.

the World". A book that is an important part of your journey in
experiencing and understanding Indonesian cigars. We hope that this book can be
a source of inspiration and knowledge that will revive the values contained in
every cigar that is lit.
Yadie Dayana is a
hotelier. After studying at the Hotel Academy, he started working in several
business hotels. In 1997 when he worked at The Regent Hotel Singapore, he
became acquainted with the world of cigars and began enjoying cigars during his
career in the hotel industry. And since then, Yadie Dayana has focused on
studying cigars and cigar-related businesses. In 1997 he received training from
Pacific Cigar Company Hong Kong. In 1999 he joined Swedish Match and opened
Club Macanudo Cigar Divan Jakarta. In 2004 training at General Cigar Dominicana
as well as opening Club Perdomo Bangkok.
His experience in the
world of cigars is very strong after traveling around the world studying the
cigar market and cigar culture in Asia, Europe and America. Became First Winner
of the Cigar Smoking World Championship twice in Luala Lumpur, Malaysia in 2019
and 2023.
In 2007, Yadie Dayana
introduced "Dayana" as a brand. And opened the first Dayana cigar
shop under the name Dayana TOBACCO est. 1997. In early 2010, the brand changed
to Dayana est. 1997 – A Cigar Store and opened several cigar shops spread
across Jakarta. The Dayana brand, which has been registered with the IPR of the
Ministry of Law and Human Rights, continues to expand its business by
introducing Dayana Cigars to the market in 2014. And now Dayana Cigars already
has many types of cigars. Dayana – The Legend such as Dayana Robusto – P,
Dayana Princess and Dayana Project No. 2 Torpedo and Dayana Maduro Series such
as Dayana Maduro Robusto and Dayana Maduro Robusto.
With various experiences and broad insight, Yadie Dayana wishes to promote Indonesian cigars to the world market by writing a book entitled "Indonesian Cigars for the World" and to provide insight into Indonesian cigars to all groups, whether they are just starting to enjoy cigars or are just starting out cigar business.
