All hand-made cigars are sealed by a cap at the head, is the end to be cut and go into your mouth. A cap is a round piece of tobacco, which has been cut from wrapper leaf, to make sure the color is the same with the wrapper. Some cigar caps make looks like pigtail.
Equipment: Lighter, torch, or long matches. Guillotine scissors, cutter or puncher.
Whatever method you choose, it is important that the cut must be clean and level, otherwise you can have difficulties with the draw.
Cut closed end of cigar almost to its full width or medium be careful to leave a part of the cap intact
LIGHTING YOUR CIGAR
Do light your cigar with an odorless flame like a matches (after the head has burned) or a butane gas lighter/torch.
Take your time to light your cigar, cigar must well burning.
STORING CIGARS
There is no question about it, the cigar has to be stored under the right condition to get the best out of it.
Ideally cigars should stored at between 65% to 70% Relative Humidity (RH), and the temperature at between 18C to 20C.
The perfect condition is 70% RH and 20 C temperature.
If the cigar has mould, just remove it with the soft tissue. That because the condition is too hot or too warm.
Storing cigar in the humidor, the best way is to check by your hand, then you know that the cigars are good or bad condition.
Storing cigar in the refrigerator must be avoided, because it stops the maturation process. If you have no choice, the cigars can put there only for a short time until the suitable condition can be maintained. But the cigar must be put inside a sealed plastic ziplock bag and separate from the food or other smells products.
